Since 2002 Electronic Arts has thrown open their doors to Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon kids for a gaming challenge that is unforgettable!
The Make-A-Wish Dream Team (an impressive team of wish kids!) competes in the annual EA Challenge, a one-day fun-filled family event held at EA Burnaby Campus. Local sports stars, EA staff, celebrities, media and corporate sponsors bravely accept the challenge to take on the "Dream Team" in the latest EA Sports NHL & FIFA games.
The EA Burnaby Campus is one of the largest video game development studios in the world, where some of the biggest video game titles are made.
Wish kids, their families and participants are given exclusive access to many of the latest video games not yet released to the public and the motion capture studio will be accessible in a special open house to a studio which is normally closed to the public.
“We are actively involved with Make-A-Wish throughout the year with our EA Outreach Program, but our staff is particularly excited about this event each year!” says Wendell Harlow, Manager, EA Outreach and Corporate Giving Canada. “It is a chance for our staff to see their hard work in action, providing a special day for some very courageous kids in our community.”
“Wish kids (& their families) have had to endure so much and this event celebrates their strength and courage.” says Ross Hetherington, CEO, Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon. “We cannot thank Electronic Arts enough for making this day each year possible.”
