  • ReWined raises over $50,000 for Make-A-Wish

Apr. 12, 2018 - Victoria, B.C. The Naramata Bench Wineries Association helped Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon raise more than $50,000 this week during a fundraising wine tasting event in Victoria, B.C.

“Through the support of the Naramata Bench Wineries Association as well as our participants and incredible sponsors,” said Hetherington, “we were able to enjoy a lovely evening together and raise awareness and funds for granting wishes for kids who really need a boost in their spirits. A heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.”

Naramata Bench Wineries Association held their annual spring portfolio release in Victoria and supported Make-A-Wish for the first time, through a charity tasting event involving 19 Naramata wineries. Various Vancouver Island cafes, bistros, restaurants and food outlets also took part in the night, to provide some delicious food samples. Rounding out the evening was a silent auction and raffle, with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of BC & Yukon.

“We also want to say thanks today to the hundreds of attendees,” said Ross Hetherington, CEO, Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon, “and all the generous ReWined supporters and sponsors who helped keep costs low and glasses raised.”
