Zoe, nine years old with Leukemia, wished to be in her own music video.
Not only did her wish give Zoe something to fight for, it had a strong impact on her family and our extended family of dedicated volunteers and partners in the community.
“We were told that Zoe initially had about a 10% chance of survival and if we had not brought her in, she might have had only a few weeks to live.
Zoe ‘s treatment plan would have her enduring four rounds of intensive chemotherapy, followed by a stem cell transplant, more chemotherapy and new bone marrow.
Zoe was in the hospital for approximately nine months and during that time she was an incredible trooper. No matter how scared she was Zoe amazed us all, digging deeper and deeper, being ever so brave.
The idea of a wish had a huge effect on Zoe and the rest of my family. When you spend that amount of time in the hospital, it is so important to have something to look forward to and daydream about. It became an amazing tool that got us through a very tough time.” – Jody, Zoe’s Mom
